Third party audit of corporate carbon footprint

A data visualisation software company, committed to achieving Net Zero by 2030, commissioned Lantern to audit their carbon footprint. As part of its road map to achieve this goal, the company signed up to Tech Zero and reports annually on Scopes 1, 2 and 3 of its carbon footprint. Data relating to the company’s carbon footprint had been collected, collated, and analysed internally by staff. 

 

Lantern audited data sets used to calculate each element of the company’s footprint and reviewed samples of raw data including energy bills and procurement records. Where errors in emissions calculations and factors were identified, Lantern worked with the client to correct these. 

 

An external carbon footprint report was produced for providing to Tech Zero. A second, internal document was produced providing recommendations relating to the completeness and accuracy of data, consistency of data collection processing and reporting, and strength of data management and control.
