DECC's Community Biomass Guidance - a resource for communities developing woodfuel projects

 

Lantern worked with DECC and the Forestry Commission to produce an online resource for communities wishing to develop local biomass projects and woodfuel supply chains.

 

This work formed an integral part of the government's Community Energy Strategy and offered advice and information for groups on how to develop their own woodfuel supply chains as part of local wood heat projects. The guidance covered all the major aspects of woodfuel supply chain development, including assessing the resource,  extracting the material, processing and supplying to a heat project.
